Build the bench.
The strength of the Norwalk Student Education Foundation begins with the people around the table. Recruiting is how we build the bench — bringing on directors who believe in our schools and are ready to give their time, talent, and voice to the mission.
What it means to serve.
Our directors do real work. They champion our schools in the community, help plan and grow the annual Gala, cultivate donors and sponsors, and steward the funds we raise toward scholarships and programs that reach students and teachers directly.
We ask for a genuine, two-year commitment. In practice that means attending monthly board meetings, serving on at least one committee, actively supporting fundraising efforts, and showing up for our signature events. Most directors give a few hours each month — more in the weeks around the Gala.
What matters most is not the hours, but the ownership. We are looking for people willing to say yes to the mission and help carry it forward.
